Description

A member-run adult club teaching traditional Shotokan karate, affiliated to Shotokan Connect. It trains on Monday and Thursday evenings in the dance studio of Canterbury College’s main building on New Dover Road, with an extra half hour for senior grades. Beginners and people returning to karate are welcome.

Before you visit

Turn up at 6:45pm on a training night or book a Discover Karate session through the club’s Eventbrite page. Check with the club before training on a national holiday.

Prices & membership

There is no joining fee or monthly fee: you pay when you train, and the fees cover hall hire, but the website does not state the session price. The first session is free, and subsidised places are available for new women and teenage girls under the club’s This Girl Can campaign.
