Description
A traditional Shotokan karate dojo on North First Street, opened in 2008 by senior black belts and affiliated with the Shotokan Karate-Do International Federation. Classes run six days a week, families can train together, and there are beginner and young kids classes.

Before you visit
Wear loose clothes for the first few classes; a gi is expected after the first month. Mouth guards and kumite hand guards are required for sparring drills.

Membership prices: individual $125 a month, family $200 a month, unlimited training and no contracts (new rates from 1 November 2026). The first two classes are free; ask about the new student and family offer.
