Description
A Shaolin kung fu, qigong and Chan Buddhist centre on Junction Road in Tufnell Park, led by Grandmaster Shi Yan Zi. New students start in the preparation class, which focuses on stamina, flexibility and fundamentals, before moving on to foundation and San Shou sparring classes; kids’ classes for children aged 5 and up run on weekday afternoons and Saturday mornings.

Before you visit
Five minutes’ walk from Tufnell Park station: go down the driveway next to Pearce House, through the double red doors and down the steps to reception. Open Monday to Friday 3.30pm to 9pm and Saturday 9am to 3pm.

Prices & membership
The 16-hour Shaolin Kung Fu Combat Course (preparation level) costs £230, or is included in the monthly membership; classes can also be paid individually. Membership prices are not listed on the courses page. A Ba Duan Jin qigong session on Saturdays is free.
