Description

A Checkmat-affiliated Brazilian jiu-jitsu club run by black-belt coach Dan Havelock, training on Thornbush Road in Inverness and at Munlochy Village Hall on the Black Isle. The Inverness sessions are a Friday evening no-gi class and a Sunday morning gi class for adults, a Monday open mat, and children’s classes on Monday and Friday evenings.

Before you visit

Inverness sessions are held at 42 Thornbush Road in South Kessock; the Tuesday and Thursday gi classes are at Munlochy Village Hall, about 15 minutes’ drive north. There is no obligation to spar in a first class.

Prices & membership

Membership is £47 a month for two classes a week or £50 a month for four classes a week, which also includes competition mentorship. Beginners get one free introductory class. Sign-up and the free trial are booked through the MAAT app or by WhatsApp.
