Description
The Inverness dojo of the Scottish Kempo Academy, a Highland self-defence organisation founded in 1997 that teaches Yoshin Kempo karate. The Wednesday evening class at Hilton Community Centre is for children aged 8 and over, teens and adults, after a Lil’ Dragons class for children aged 4 to 7; a second Lil’ Dragons class runs on Fridays at Ness Castle Primary School.

Before you visit
Wear loose clothing such as a T-shirt and jogging trousers and bring water. Under-16s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at their first lesson. Free parking at the centre.

Prices & membership
A free trial lesson in a group class can be booked online. Membership fees for group classes are not published; private lessons at the academy’s Tain studio cost £40 an hour for two people.
