A judo club founded in 1950, training at its own dojo on Grimesthorpe Road. It runs a Monday groundwork (newaza) session suitable for beginners, Wednesday technical and randori sessions for competitors, and a Friday no-gi session, all for ages 14 and over.

Team Kaizen Judo Academy

A judo club opened in September 2025 in a purpose-built dojo with a permanently matted sprung floor at Niagara Works in Hillsborough. It is led by Sam Hall, a Team GB judoka and Commonwealth Games medallist, and runs tots’, juniors’ and seniors’ sessions plus a Saturday conditioning class and open mat.
